Linda Lowe - Director

Linda Lowe graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education, and she earned her Master of Arts Degree in speech communication and psychology from Texas Tech University. Mrs. Lowe worked on her reading specialist degree at the University of Florida and continued this certification at West Texas A&M University when she and her husband moved back to the Texas Panhandle.

She received her administrator certification from West Texas A&M University, and she then completed her superintendentís certification at WTAMU.

Mrs. Lowe taught Title I Reading for three years in Ocala, Florida. She then moved back to Texas as a full time instructor at Amarillo College where she taught speed reading, reading skills, Phonics To Improve Spelling, English as a Second Language, and psychology.

She then accepted a full time position as an instructor in the education department at West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M University). She trained teachers in the techniques of teaching reading, general educational strategies, and children's literature.

She worked for one year as a Title One Consultant at the Region 16 Education Service Center.

Mrs. Lowe says she came to Hereford because she wanted to try her hand at being an administrator. She taught junior English and English as a Second Language before becoming an assistant principal at Hereford High School.

She was the principal at Hereford High School for six years, and she then moved to her current position as Director of Instructional Support Services.
